Where is Hotel Torre del Fuggisole located?

Torre del Fuggisole is located in the historic center of Siena, Tuscany, just 500 meters from Piazza del Campo. We are located in Via di Fieravecchia 7, in the limited traffic zone. Within walking distance you will find many typical restaurants, a supermarket and many other services.

How do we reach you?

By car: we recommend entering Porta Romana as your destination on your navigator and continuing from there until you reach the Hotel. For access permission to the historic center it is important to enter from Porta Romana. We recommend that you also read the “Parking” section of this FAQ. If you decide to park at the train station, we recommend taking a taxi, or walking into the shopping centre, going up the escalators, heading towards Porta Camollia, and then crossing the historic centre, a walk of around 30 minutes.

By motorbike or bicycle: those arriving by motorbike ok bicycle can reach the hotel by entering the historic centre from Porta Romana and can park in the private garage in front of the hotel, reserved exclusively for motorbikes and bicycles.

By train: we recommend taking a taxi, or walking into the shopping centre, going up the escalators, heading towards Porta Camollia, and then crossing the historic centre, a walk of around 30 minutes.

By bus: from Piazza Gramsci, first head towards Piazza del Campo, continue towards Banchi di Sotto, enter via di Pantaneto and before entering via Roma turn left to reach via di Fieravecchia.  

I’m arriving by motorcycle or bicycle. Where can I park?

Hotel Torre del Fuggisole has a private garage exclusively for motorcycles and bicycles.

Maximum security: Private, lockable garage.
Complete protection: Covered area, protected from the elements.
Unbeatable convenience: Located directly opposite the hotel entrance.
E-bike friendly: We have internal outlets for charging your electric bike.
Free: Free parking for our guests (temporary promotion, take advantage of it now).

Motorcycle guests can reach the hotel by entering the historic center through Porta Romana.

I’m arriving by car. Where can I park?

Hotel Torre del Fuggisole does not have private car parking.

It is possible to access the limited traffic zone (ZTL) with your car to unload and load luggage during check-in and check-out times, our staff will take care of providing the necessary permit. We ask our Guests to be careful to enter exclusively through Porta Romana and not other access doors to the historic center.

We have an agreement with a guarded garage for which a reservation is necessary, so we ask you to make a request before arrival. Rates are about €50 per night plus any supplements, depending on the period. They include the car collection and return service (car valet) and registration of the license plate for access to the restricted traffic zone.

Another possibility is to leave your car at the car park in Via Roma: free between 8pm and 8am, €1.50 per hour at other times.

Parking at the station (Parcheggio La Stazione) is the most convenient with the rate of €2.50 per day (a pleasant 30-minute flat walk in the historic center to reach us from the station or by taxi).

Do you have an elevator?

The hotel is located in a historic tower from the 1500s, so the structure of the building itself does not allow the installation of an elevator. Our rooms are therefore only reachable via stairs (maximum 55 steps to reach our highest room).

Do you have bicycle storage?

Thanks to our covered garage in front of the hotel, we can accommodate your bicycles. Anyone interested is kindly requested to reserve a space when booking.

What are the Check-in and Check-out times?

Check-in carried out in person with one of our operators is possible between 3:00 pm and 6:30 pm while check-out is by 11:00 am.

Early Check-in If you arrive before the check-in time we will welcome you and store your luggage. You can visit our city, have lunch in the many typical Tuscan cuisine restaurants in the immediate vicinity and then access your room starting from 3:00 pm.

Late Check-in If you are unable to arrive before 6.30pm we ask you to inform us as soon as possible. Our staff will be able to manage the balance of the room and tourist tax remotely and will communicate the code to enter the hotel and the room. Late check-in procedure:

• Check in online by entering your details in the link that will be sent to you via email from our system.
• We will then send you the link for direct bank payment, very simple and secure.
• As soon as the accreditation is received, the system will create the access codes to allow you to enter the hotel and access your room in complete autonomy, at the time most convenient for you.

Late Check-out

If there is a need for a late check-out, we invite you to ask for availability at the reception in advance, the terms will be discussed on the spot.

Luggage Storage

After check-out, if you want to store your luggage so you can visit Siena freely, don’t hesitate to ask the Reception for the code to be able to access the Hotel independently even after leaving your room.  

Do you have breakfast service?

Our Hotel does not currently offer breakfast service, but we have a cafeteria room where coffee and tea are available 24 hours. In the morning we offer our guests a small buffet for free to start the day, with some local products typical of an Italian breakfast.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Wi-fi is free throughout the hotel.
